Course Design for a Studio-Based Artist

A project designed to support a printmaker with a growing in-person following in launching her first online course. Built on Systeme.io, the course breaks down her intuitive, hands-on process into digestible, confidence-building lessons - pairing strong visual structure with easy-to-use tools. From curriculum scaffolding to branded visuals and launch-ready tech, this project demonstrates how creative expertise can be transformed into a sellable and scalable online learning experience.

The Process

Client Discovery & Opportunity Analysis

Before designing anything, I take time to understand your creative practice, audience, and existing content. This stage includes a review of your online presence to identify what resonates most with your followers and where online learning opportunities may lie.

Interview or Questionnaire

To ensure your course reflects your voice and values, I provide a tailored questionnaire or conduct an interview. This helps clarify your goals, teaching style, comfort with tech, and the unique knowledge you want to share.

Course Proposal

Based on our discovery, I develop a clear course concept aligned with your audience and creative strengths. The proposal includes suggested topics, learning outcomes, format, and an outline of the learner journey.

Project Plan + Learning Design Blueprint

You're the expert, I'm here to help you teach with clarity and confidence. This stage includes a full course structure, timeline, and step-by-step plan for what you'll create and when. I’ll provide detailed guidance on how to teach online effectively - from framing yourself on camera, planning supporting resources, and anticipating learner questions. You don’t need to be a teacher or a tech whiz; I’ll walk you through everything you need to deliver your knowledge in a way that’s engaging and accessible.

Course Platform

I bring the course to life by building out the structure on a user-friendly platform. This includes editing video when required, preparing support matierals, uploading materials, designing lesson pages, and ensuring a smooth learner experience from start to finish.

Client Discovery & Opportunity Analysis

For this self-initiated project, I explored how an independent linocut artist with an engaged Instagram following could expand into online education. I created a detailed opportunity analysis for Calder Prints, a fictional but realistic brand inspired by nature-themed printmakers.

This discovery phase included an audit of existing content, audience behavior, and platform strengths. I identified high-performing content types, recurring follower questions, and natural opportunities for course topics. By combining audience insights with learning design strategy, I proposed a strong foundation for a beginner-friendly linocut course that aligns with both the artist’s creative voice and her community’s needs.

Questionnaire

To simulate a real client collaboration, I created a mock interview with a fictional linocut artist named Sophie Calder, the creator behind Calder Prints. I used ChatGPT to generate realistic, voice-driven responses by prompting it to answer as Sophie — drawing on insights from my research into artist communities, content trends, and common teaching barriers.

This AI-powered simulation allowed me to explore the artist’s motivations, creative process, concerns about teaching online, and marketing mindset, as if I were working with a real client. The interview helped shape the course direction and provided a strong foundation for developing a learner-centered design approach.

Course Proposal

Based on the insights gathered from my initial analysis and mock interview, I developed a full course proposal for Linocut for Beginners, designed for Sophie Calder of Calder Prints. This proposal outlines the course concept, learning outcomes, structure, and creator support in detail.

The document demonstrates how learner-centered design, platform strategy, and creator constraints can come together in a clear, actionable plan. I also included a tailored FAQ section to proactively address common creator concerns — from tech setup to marketing confidence — and align the course with both the artist’s strengths and her audience’s needs.

Our mission

We're on a mission to change the way the housing market works. Rather than offering one service or another, we want to combine as many and make our clients' lives easy and carefree. Our goal is to match our clients with the perfect properties that fit their tastes, needs, and budgets.

We want to live in a world where people can buy homes that match their needs rather than having to find a compromise and settle on the second-best option. That's why we take a lot of time and care in getting to know our clients from the moment they reach out to us and ask for our help.
